Tango Transcriptions for YOUR Group

Do you have a group with Clarinet, Viola, Kazoo, Auto Harp and Electric Bass and you want to play Juan D'Arienzo's version of Felicia?  No problem.

Or you have a Orquesta Tipica and you really want to play Ricardo Malerba's version of Junto a tu Corazón but can't find an arrangement anywhere?  No problem.

Tango Jam and Ben Bogart are now offering arranged tango transcriptions for your Tango Group.  What does that mean?  Ben will provide you a complete arrangement in pdf form based on a tango recording of your choice complete with all the details that make the original recording so special.  The arrangement can include the original piano part, bandoneón variaciones, and all the other details as necessary for your group.

You just have to let him know what your instrumentation is and any other pertinent info about the group.  For example, if your second bagpipe players is a relative beginner, or if you want the bandoneon variation in the kazoos, or the bass line on the Theremin just let him know when you ask for the arrangement.

For a limited time any tango arrangement for a group of up to 10 musicians is $190 USD.  Vocal parts with lyrics are $25 extra because of the extra time they require.

Alternatively, if that price doesn't suit your budget and you are looking for a standard orchestration (Sexteto típico or Orchestra Típica), you can post a request in the "Sheet Music Requests" forum.  While there is not guarantee that your song will get transcribed and arranged, the ones with the most interest will.  Once transcribed they will be available in the soon to come TangoJam Store at a significantly discounted price.

Proceeds from this project go towards building a library of tango music for the preservation of tango.  Most arrangements can be delivered in about 15 days.  Contact Ben Bogart directly at Esta dirección electrónica esta protegida contra spambots. 2009/2010 Fund Raising Campaing Results

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Tango Jam project during the 2009/2010 Fund Raising campaign.  We raised nearly $2,000 for the development of resources for tango Musicians!  While this number fell short of our $4000 goal, we will be able to accomplish quite a lot with it.

We've had to adjust this years goals, but we are happy with what we have come up with.  This year we will be focusing on increasing library of music available online, and making affordable commercial products such as transcriptions and educational videos available to the world.  Any proceeds from the commercial products will be reinvested into the further development of resources for Tango Musicians.

Thank you again and check back often for updates.  The wheels are already rolling on some of the new projects!

Oh, and by the way, you can make a donation whenever you would like.  Just contact Esta dirección electrónica esta protegida contra spambots. Es necesario activar Javascript para visualizarla for info.
